Many organizations have a BCP in place. It’s generally either a room, or a building somewhere, with backup power, connectivity and or hardware options.

When tested against a real world scenario, e.g. the current coronavirus outbreak, or MERS, or SARS, or any number of other pathogenic or environmental disasters, they all fall prey to one factor that limits the effectiveness of such plans – these all rely on having people being able to come in to the backup site or use the backup systems on their existing site/office.


These don’t work if your people can’t get out of their homes for fear of their health or safety. It’s time to re-strategise and re-energise your workforce. Remote is the future of work
